Meet the Coach!
I haven’t always been a fitness coach. One day in 2019, I stumbled into a SHiNE Dance Fitness class and never looked back. SHiNE Dance Fitness was the first certification, the one that opened the door to the fitness world for me. I have always been an athlete and in my previous career as a teacher, I coached several sports, but getting to do this full-time and help other people do it? It was a new dream come true!
I added a NASM CPT, NASM CNC, AFAA GFI, UPLIFT, and Pregnancy and Postpartum Coach Certification to my repertoire, but having that SHiNE certification first set my path. You’ll see SHiNE’s core values in everything I do though - body positivity, inclusivity, women supporting women, room for everyone on the dancefloor, really good playlists. I’m the coach that I am today because of that first certification five years ago.
When I first started (and even still now, somedays), I don’t feel like there are many coaches out there who see things the way I do. Sure, I can help you get in shape and lose weight but there’s so much more to it than that for me. I want you to walk onto a dancefloor or into a weight room and be able to own the space! I want you to feel confident, to trust yourself, to find your girl gang at the gym.
I help women find empowerment and confidence in the gym by realizing that fitness - and you - are so much more than the number on the scale or the size on your jeans.
Every woman has the right to feel strong and confident in her own skin. Femme Powered Wellness empowers women to embrace their bodies, celebrate their strength, and foster a positive relationship with fitness.
Magic happens when women come together! I’ve seen it countless times. When we come together through wellness, we connect and become a community, taking what could have been a solo wellness experience and transforming it into a collective experience of strength. Sharing the wellness journey with a squad helps to break down long-standing barriers and stereotypes associated with fitness and body image.
It’s my hope that by empowering women in wellness, we can redefine our limits, inspire each other, and foster a culture of empowerment that resonates far beyond the confines of the gym.
